A to Z Reflection

Ah A to Z how do I love thee?

I almost forgot about this great thing called The A to Z Challenge, since I was a child, threw a hissy fit and deleted my previous blog which of course contained last years challenge.  NO regrets right, it should all be about the lessons that we learn in life.

This year I decided right before the challenge to go with a theme of writing a poem for each letter.

I don't know that this was a good or bad decision since I do believe that as soon as most people see poetry they turn right around and go somewhere else.  That would explain why during last years challenge I acquired over 100 followers and this year the number was lower, but those that decided to click that button I appreciate you!  All of you that chose to comment, you are the best!

I did not pre-write my posts, they were all written day to day.  Almost all of the poems came to me right before I woke each morning.  A lot of bloggers scheduled their posts, but not me.  I probably cut down on the time I had to visit  other blogs but there were some days I only felt like writing my blog and that was all.  I did try to visit everyone that left me comments and follow as many new blogs as I could, which in many cases wasn't reciprocated.  I understand though since people really only want to follow or read blogs that pertain to their interests. :)

I would like to thank the following bloggers as they visited my blog leaving their wonderful comments the most. Why don't you go check them out too! :)

I look forward to next years challenge! Thanks also to the hosts!

  1. I enjoyed your postings in April. Loved the poetry and especially since you were able to post a poem for each letter. Also thanks for the shout out. :) I am also spotlighting followers this month.

  2. MJ – I LOVED reading your poetry posts, and I don’t usually seek out poetry!

I kept coming back because your poems were so clever. You, my dear, are a natural wordsmith. :) I'm glad I found you. (Or you found me? LOL! Who knows!)

Thanks so much for the shout-out above. I am truly honored.

  3. I'm glad to see you. I'm glad you're writing. I don't care what it is. I'm just glad you're doing it.
    :)
    Thanks for the mention.

  4. I think the massive amount of bloggers in the challenge was hard for me... I wanted to read all of them at least once, but only got to about 400 of which I commented on all the ones that I could.

I pre-wrote about 5 of my posts, but only because that day was going to be so busy or I would not be able to get to a computer or the internet the next day.

  8. You did a great job! I was terrible about leaving comments, but tried to tweet or google+ instead. The size of the Linky this year was overwhelming, but I'm still going around and "meeting" new bloggers :-)

  9. I have to admit to not being much of a poetry follower but did put you on my blog reader list and now you're stuck with me. LOL! I look forward to seeing what else you have tucked up your sleeve.

  10. Congrats on finishing the challenge. I too wrote a poem each day for the challenge! I agree people don't really like poetry. I try everything to rename it to 'rhyming stories' and 'quirky rhymes' I will check out your poems now and I hope you will visit my blog in return
